Nick Crockford – Owner, Operator, Exercise Physiologist, Sports Performance Coach, Trainer

With over 16 years of hands-on coaching experience, I’m dedicated to transforming lives—whether you’re just beginning your fitness journey or competing on the world stage. My expertise spans weight loss, physique transformation, adult & youth fitness, pain management, and elite sports performance, all rooted in a deep understanding of exercise science, biomechanics, and practical, results-driven application.

As an Exercise Physiologist with a degree from UMass Lowell, I excel at translating complex training principles into effective, real-world strategies. My coaching has empowered clients to regain quality of life, enhance mobility, reduce reliance on medications, and overcome chronic pain when other solutions fell short.

I’ve had the privilege of working with 18 national-level competitors, 4 world-level athletes, and 1 professional athlete—tailoring programs that suit both beginners and elite performers. Additionally, I’ve been personally mentored by some of the country’s top coaches and physical therapists, insights from which I seamlessly integrate into my training philosophy.

Beyond coaching, I’m a competitive powerlifter—having placed 3rd at the WPC World Championships and once held a WPC world record in the deadlift. My journey also includes a decade in strongman competitions with five national qualifiers, and my early days as a high school athlete in football and baseball laid the foundation for my lifelong commitment to fitness.

I don’t believe in fluff. I’m not here to deliver just another good workout—I’m here to achieve real, measurable results. If you’re ready to put in the work, I’ll ensure every effort leads to meaningful, transformative progress.

As co-owner of Innovate Fitness, I manage customer relations and work behind the scenes to ensure every client’s experience is seamless.

With 18 years of lifting experience and a lifetime of athletics, I know firsthand what it takes to train, perform, and push limits.

I’ve competed in powerlifting, earning Best Lifter at my first-ever meet, and my athletic background spans soccer, basketball, softball, and even Tough Mudders. As both a trainer, with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science,  and a registered nurse (RN), I bring a unique perspective to coaching, blending strength training with a deep understanding of health and recovery.

I’m especially passionate about women’s health and athletics, and I’m currently working toward a prenatal/postnatal certification to help women stay strong through every stage of life. Whether in training, recovery, or long-term health, my focus is on helping women build strength, confidence, and resilience—both in and out of the gym.

Mason Clemens - Kinesiologist, Senior Sports Performance Coach, Trainer

With a B.S. and M.S. in Kinesiology, CSCS certification, and over 10 years of coaching experience across California and Massachusetts, Mason specializes in blending high-level strength development with biomechanical optimization and pain-informed movement coaching.

A former baseball catcher and high-level powerlifter with best lifts of a 660 squat, 425 bench, and 660 deadlift, his coaching philosophy was heavily shaped through years of both competitive training and personal injury experience. That process led him to prioritize movement quality above all else—not as a limitation to performance, but as the foundation for it.

His coaching style combines conjugate-based strength principles with the biomechanical and rehabilitation-focused concepts of Bill Hartman’s UHPC model. Training centers around compound barbell movements such as the squat, bench press, deadlift, and overhead press, while integrating targeted “reset” strategies designed to improve relative motion, restore access to optimal positions, and reduce compensation patterns that limit performance.

He defines movement quality as the ability to move with reduced compensatory strategies and greater biomechanical efficiency. Through detailed evaluation and technical coaching, he helps clients improve both performance and resilience by identifying the movement limitations driving pain, restriction, or stagnation.

Rather than viewing pain as purely tissue damage, his approach recognizes pain as feedback from the nervous system—a signal that the body no longer feels safe expressing certain movement options. By restoring movement variability and teaching the body to access more efficient positions, clients are able to improve strength, reduce pain, and return to training or sport with greater confidence.

Known for a highly educational and technical coaching style, he works best with self-motivated individuals who genuinely want to pursue physical progress, competence, and confidence through training. Whether the goal is powerlifting performance, pain management, return-to-sport, or long-term physical capability, his coaching environment emphasizes accountability, effort, and intelligent training.

For driven clients willing to listen, work hard, and stay consistent, he believes results are inevitable.
